METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING SIGNALS IN OPEN-LOOP SPATIAL MULTIPLEXING MODE

A method for transmitting and receiving signals in an open-loop spatial multiplexing mode is provided to receive a signal by allowing a terminal to estimate the transmission method of a base station according to the number of transmission antennas and the number of rank indicators. Rank indicator information and antenna number information are received from a base station. When the number of transmission antennas is 2, the signal transmission of the base station is estimated by pre-coding a matrix. In the matrix, a first matrix corresponding to an identity matrix, a second matrix corresponding to a diagonal matrix and a third matrix corresponding to a unitary matrix are multiplexed in order. A signal is received according to the estimation.
