<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device capable of quickening determination timing of existence of a target, when having a strong probability of existence of the target. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a transmission part for transmitting a radar wave; a reception part for receiving a reflected wave of the radar wave reflected by the target, and generating a reception signal; a beat signal generation part for generating a beat signal from the reception signal and a transmission signal; a frequency analysis part for extracting a peak frequency of the beat signal, and determining peak intensity in the peak frequency of the beat signal; an existence probability calculation part for determining an existence probability in each measuring cycle based on the peak frequency and the peak intensity; and an existence determination part for determining existence of the target, when the calculated existence probability reaches a prescribed value. The existence probability calculation part increases the existence probability by the first value when the peak intensity of the beat signal is not less than the first threshold and below the second threshold (the first threshold<the second threshold), and increases the existence probability by the second value (the first value<the second value) when the peak intensity of the beat signal is not less than the second threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
