<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device that uses a photovoltaic cell that prevents occurrence of a conversion loss and generation of switching noises and requires no complex circuit configuration, and to provide method for controlling the same. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply device is constituted of a photovoltaic cell and a plurality of storage elements connected in series. A storage module connected with the photovoltaic cell in parallel, a plurality of intermediate tap output terminals taken out of both ends of each storage element of the storage module, and switching means connected between the photovoltaic cell and each intermediate tap output terminal are provided. Based on the voltage-power characteristics of the photovoltaic cell and the voltage of each intermediate tap output terminal, an output control of the photovoltaic cell is performed, by selecting the intermediate tap output terminal connecting the photovoltaic cell and the storage module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
