<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly stop a transmission of succeeding print data on the occurrence of a failure in a printer. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a storage means for storing image formation data received from an information processor through a second transmission path; an image formation means for forming an image on the basis of the data stored in the storage means; an image formation data processing means for transmitting a transfer completion notice to the processor through the second transmission path when completing the reception of the data of a predetermined transmission unit transmitted from the processor through the second transmission path; and a command data processing means for instructing formation of the image to the formation means in accordance with the instructions indicated by command data received from the processor through a first transmission path. When a failure occurs in the image forming apparatus, the command data processing means notifies the occurrence of the failure to the processor after instructing the stop of the transfer completion notice to the image formation data processing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
