<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for a saddle-riding type vehicle and an air bag, which efficiently utilizes a mounting space by devise of a shape of a storage case and how to fold the air bag. <P>SOLUTION: A steering stem 7 for steerably retaining a front wheel WF is pivotally supported on a front part of a vehicle body frame of a motorcycle. A recession part 22 opposed to the steering stem 7 is formed on an outer shell of the storage case 21 of the air bag device 20, and the air bag device 20 is arranged such that the steering stem 7 is covered from a vehicle body rear side at the recession part 22. The air bag device 20 is thereby arranged effectively using left and right sides in a vehicle width direction of the steering stem 7 and a space at a rear side. The air bag 30 is bent at a flexible part 33 and is stored in the storage case 21 after folded in first and second procedures. The recession part of the storage case is constituted by the flat surface outer shells 24, 25 crossing at a central part in the vehicle width direction, or can be constituted by a curve surface outer shell making the vehicle body rear side to a projection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
