PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for supporting a user in a power saving mode. SOLUTION: When the apparatus shifts to the power saving mode, guidance information is displayed on electronic paper 108. Even when power is not supplied, the electronic paper 108 maintains the content of a display. Accordingly, despite the non-supply of power to a display panel 112 due to the power saving mode, the electronic paper continues displaying the content for a user, thereby supporting the user.
