PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module advantageous to effective prevention of dust generated from a gate part without requiring a special processing step. SOLUTION: A lens holding member 30 is molded by placing a molten synthetic resin from a gate of a mold into a product cavity, and a portion corresponding to the mold gate in forming remains as a gate part 72. When a coil 52 is mounted to a rear circular tube surface 60, an open adhesive placement recess 70 is constructed in the direction parallel to the optical axis of an imaging optical system 28 by a center surface 66, side surfaces 68 upstanding from both sides of the center surface 66, an outer surface 58, and the inner peripheral surface of the coil 52. The gate part 72 is located at the center face 66 of the adhesive placement recess 70. When an adhesive B is placed in the adhesive placement recess 74, an outer peripheral portion of the lens holding member 30 and an inner peripheral portion of the coil 52 are bonded to each other, and the adhesive B embeds the gate 72 therein.
