PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of preventing temperature rise at a disposed spot of an exhaust duct in an external case. SOLUTION: The projector 1 includes the external case 2 having an exhaust port 23 for exhausting inside air to the outside, the exhaust duct 42 disposed inside the external case 2 and guiding the inside air to the exhaust port 23, and a partition member 5 lying in a gap between sidewalls opposed to each other of the external case 2 and the exhaust duct 42 and partitioning between at least partial space Sp1 of the gap from other space Sp0 inside the external case 2.
