PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module which can find out its switching state to the macro mode in its inside without externally preparing a sensor switch. SOLUTION: The camera module has a lens barrel 2 holding a lens 20, and a case 1 to house this lens barrel 2. The lens barrel 2 is retained free to turn in the case 1 within a predetermined range. A macro switch mechanism 5 is provided on the lens barrel 2 and the case 1 to move the lens barrel 2 in the optical axis direction of the lens 20 as the lens barrel 2 turns. Elastic pieces 4 are provided on the upper surface of the case 1 to press the upper surface of the lens barrel 2. Further, an electrode 25 is provided on the upper surface of the lens barrel 2 at a position where its contact state with the elastic pieces 4 changes as the lens barrel 2 turns.
