PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small information measuring instrument for measuring distance information on an object in a short time. SOLUTION: This distance measuring instrument includes an image sensor camera 1, an image capture board 2, a memory 3 for storing image data, an image processing part 4 for calculating distance information to the object from the image data stored in the memory 3, and a display monitor 5 for displaying the distance information calculated by the image processing part 4. The image processing part 4 includes a reconstruction part 4a, a luminance information calculation part 4b, a distance information calculation part 4c, and a region selecting part 4d.
