PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equivalent sampling device capable of relaxing the requirements of a high-speed operation upon the generation of a trigger. SOLUTION: The equivalent sampling device includes: a reference clock generation part 11 generating a reference clock RCL; a sampling clock storage (SCS) part 12 storing sampling clocks SCL-1 to SCL-N; a trigger ADC 13 sampling and digitizing an analog signal using the reference clock RCL, and outputting it as a trigger signal; a trigger circuit 14 generating a trigger when there is a match in the comparison between the trigger signal and a comparison reference; a clock selector 15 selecting a clock SCL-i (any of 1 to N) when the trigger is input and outputting it from the SCS part 12; a waveform sampling ADC 16 sampling the analog signal using the clock SCL-i output from the SCS part 12, and digitizing and outputting the obtained signal; and a waveform storage RAM 17 storing the output from the waveform sampling ADC 16.
