PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parting structure of a covering material, which has a simple structure, can secure a space portion communicating with a drain hole, at a location between a lower edge of the covering material and a parting bottom surface, contributes to drastic reduction of labor and costs in the field, and at the same time brings about improved draining function of a corner bead. SOLUTION: According to the parting structure, a mounting step 8 having a shape bent toward the inside G is formed in either a parting base portion 5 or a parting cover portion 6, and a portion 2b of the lower edge 2a of the covering material 2 is mounted on the mounting step 8, to thereby secure the space portion 10 between the lower edge 2a of the covering material 2 and the parting bottom surface 7. Further, the drain hole 9 communicating with the space portion 10 is formed in a lower corner portion 6a of the parting cover portion 6, that is under the mounting step 8.
