The invention relates to a car wash comprising a plurality of cartridge holders (A1-A6) for holding cartridges (K1-K6) comprising additives for treatment fluids, a metering unit (1) for metering the additives from the cartridges (K1-K6) into the treatment fluids of the car wash, and a controller (7) for controlling the metering unit (1), and to a method for metering additives in treatment fluids of such a car wash. The invention achieves the aim of avoiding confusion when using cartridges with different additives and of enabling simple, demand-based and automatic metering of additives in that the cartridges (K1-K6) are provided with cartridge data and comprise data carriers equipped for contactless data transmission, that the car wash is equipped with a transmitting and/or receiving unit (P1-P6) for transmitting data between the data carrier and the controller (7), and that the controller (7) is equipped to select a cartridge (K1-K6) comprising a certain additive based on the cartridge data. The method according to the invention achieves the above aim by requesting an additive using a washing program for the controller (7), selecting a cartridge (K1-K6) comprising the additive based on the cartridge data, and controlling the metering unit (1) in accordance with the cartridge data. |
