<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a touch operation and a read/write operation of a contactless IC card on the display surface of a liquid crystal panel of a liquid crystal display unit. <P>SOLUTION: At a predetermined position of a display surface 2a of a liquid crystal panel 2, the liquid crystal display unit includes a film-shaped transparent antenna 10 for contactless IC card, formed of a transparent conductive material and capable of transmitting an electromagnetic wave of a predetermined frequency, and a film-shaped transparent touch sensor electrode 11 formed of a transparent conductive material. Preferably, at a position corresponding to the above transparent antenna 10, the above liquid crystal panel 2 can display an icon to indicate a point over which the IC card is held, and also an icon to indicate a point for contact, at a position corresponding to the above touch sensor electrode 11.
