PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker which can surely conduct a connection work of an electric cable. SOLUTION: Inside a unit body, there are housed a contact point portion, a switching mechanism 9 which switches on and off the contact point portion in accordance with a switching operation, and a load side terminal portion 4A to be connected removable with an external cable and a power source side terminal portion 4B. Each of the terminal portions 4A, 4B is provided with terminal plates 5A, 5B fixed in the unit body showing a rear side piece 52a in a cable insertion port which is open on a surface of the unit body and terminal fittings 16, 16 of which both ends in a cable insertion direction are of a cylindrical shape with open ports and which show the open port of the one end side to the cable insertion entrance and which are arranged movable in a thickness direction of the rear side piece 52a while the rear side piece 52a is inserted in the cylinder, and terminal screw 17 which is arranged rotatably inside the unit body in a state that a shift in an axial direction is regulated and is screwed with a front side piece 52b of the terminal fitting 16.
