PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tabular wall material which contributes to quick and simple mounting thereof, and to provide a mounting bracket for the wall material. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the wall material, a support portion 5 is protruded downward from a distal end of a lower leg 4 protruded from a location close to a lower end of a rear surface 3 of a tabular wall material body 2, and the support portion 5 is received and held by a hook portion 11, 11a, etc. of the mounting bracket 9 attached to a mounting objective body W, to thereby fix a lower end of the wall material 1 to the mounting objective body W. Then an overlapped portion 7 is protruded upward from a distal end of an upper leg 6 protruded from an upper end of the rear surface 3, and the overlapped portion 7 is pressed to the mounting bracket 9 by a hook 14 or an elastic body 20, to thereby fix an upper end of the wall material 1 to the mounting objective body W. Further a lower end of the wall material body 2, that is under a distal end of the support portion 5 is set as an overlapping portion 8, and the overlapped portion 7 is extended upward from an upper edge of the wall material body 2, followed by setting a space on a front side of the overlapped portion 7 and above the upper edge of the wall material body 2, as an overlapping space in which the overlapping portion 8 of the other wall material 1 covers the overlapped portion 7 in a manner being out of contact with the same.
