PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate conveying and packing an article with fragile properties such as a frozen croquette, and to improve its operating efficiency. SOLUTION: A flexible sheet member 2 is used, and peripheral edges 2a of the sheet member 2 are moved so that a plurality of croquettes K are held between the sheet member 2 and a press member 3. Then, in a state that the croquettes K are held, they are transferred to a predetermined position above a corrugated fiberboard box (container) 100, and thereafter, the peripheral edges 2a of the sheet member 2 are released and the press member 3 is separated upwardly to store a plurality of the croquettes K together with the sheet member 2 in the corrugated fiberboard box 100.
