PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a woody laminated mat while reducing a scattering quantity of woody chips, without crumbling the edges during conveyance even when the thickness of the woody laminated mat is thick. SOLUTION: In the separation-conveyance method of the woody laminated mat, elongated woody chips with bonding agent mixed are substantially aligned in a longitudinal direction and piled on a continuously supplied conveying boards to form continuous woody laminated mats 15 on the conveying boards, and thereafter the conveying boards are separated in the front and the rear, with the woody laminated mats successively conveyed to a compression molding apparatus. Before the compression molding apparatus, separating members are each brought in contact near the articulation part between a front conveying board (preceding board) and a following conveying board (succeeding board). Successively, the upper face of the woody laminated mat is pressurized with the separating member, and then the conveyance speed of the preceding board is made higher than that of the succeeding board to produce a difference of inbetween speed, so that the woody laminated mats are separated while large crumbling of their edges is suppressed.
