PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pallet exchanger capable of effectively narrowing a mounting space of the whole machine tool while aiming cost reduction and securing its versatility. SOLUTION: In the pallet exchanger A, an arm support member 11 is rotatably and vertically-movably arranged at an upright state between a table 7 and a pallet stand 9 of a machine tool B. A pallet arm 12 having a grip section 12a for gripping respective pallets on both ends is mounted on the center of the arm support member, and a pallet can be exchanged between the table and the pallet stand of the machine tool by rotating and moving up and down the pallet arm together with the arm support member. The whole pallet arm is split into two parts as right and left sides. The pallet exchanger A has a driving means for dividing the whole pallet arm into two of right and left parts and supporting two split pallet arms 12c at a horizontally movable state between a gripping position for gripping the pallet on the grip section by making both pallet arms approach each other and a standby position for being standby by separating each other and horizontally moving both split pallet arms between the gripping position and the standby position.
