PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method of efficiently and stably forming a coating film with further little unevenness of film thickness with superior quality, onto a flat sheet. SOLUTION: The coating method of the flat sheet includes processes of: cleaning the flat sheet; controlling temperature of the flat sheet before coating the flat sheet with coating liquid; coating at least one face of the flat sheet with the coating liquid; drying the obtained coating film at the room temperature; drying the coating liquid by heating; forming a hardened coating film by hardening the dried coating film; conveying the flat sheet into the cleaning process, conveying it out of the process of forming the hardening coated film and conveying from one precess to another.
