PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner with excellent dust collection efficiency, capable of efficiently increasing anions from discharge electrodes without raising the flow rate of exhaust blow from a cleaner body. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower chamber 12 for storing an electric blower 11 for generating suction blow; a dust collecting chamber 14 for collecting dust; the two separated first and second exhaust passages 35a, 35b for discharging the exhaust from the electric blower 11 to an external part; the discharge electrodes 36a, 36b respectively arranged in the first and second exhaust passages 35a, 35b so as to radiate the anions; and a high voltage circuit (not shown in the figure) for applying a high voltage onto the discharge electrodes 36a, 36b. The discharge electrodes 36a, 36b are respectively arranged in the two separated first and second exhaust passages 35a, 35b, thereby efficiently increasing an anion amount in response to the number of the discharge electrodes 36a, 36b.
