A liquid container capable of being mounted to a liquid ejecting device is provided with a mounted state notifying section. The mounted state notifying section can, in a mounted state in which the liquid container is mounted to the liquid ejecting device, cause the liquid ejecting device to determine the mounted state and also can, in the mounted state, cause the liquid ejecting device to determine a not-mounted state in which the liquid container is not mounted to the liquid ejecting device.
