A GPON blade of an ATCA(Advanced Telecom Computer Architecture) system and a control message processing method are provided to manage a link and an ONT by monitoring an ONT(Optical Network Terminal) error and a GPON link error in real time. A GPON(Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network) link device(16) is connected to respective GPON links, and transmits and receives a user traffic. A GMII(Gigabit Media Independent Interface) interface user traffic portion(14) delivers the user traffic between the GPON link device and an Ethernet switch. A control message processor(11) communicates a control message with an OAM(Operations, Administration and Maintenance) processor, processes a GPON link control message separately from an ONT management control message, and monitors a GPON link error and a protocol error. An OMCI protocol processor(12) analyzes an OMCI(ONT Management Control Interface) message from the control message. A GPON protocol command processor(13) processes a GPON protocol command and reports a GPON interrupt to the control message processor. A GPON link PLOAM(Physical Layer OAM) transceiver(15) delivers a PLOAM message among the GPON link devices, the OMCI protocol processor, and the GPON protocol processor. |
