<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable zapping in a comparatively inexpensive manner and by a comparatively simple configuration in receiving digital compressed image data by a zapping method and a receiver. <P>SOLUTION: In the zapping method of the receiver, there are provided a first tuner 11-1 and a second tuner 11-2 which receive the digital compressed image data, a first decoder for decoding all picture images of the digital compressed image data received by the first tuner, a second decoder which outputs images of the digital compressed image data received by the second tuner and only decodes a reference image required to prepare a given condition for image display, and a control circuit for controlling the first decoder and the second decoder so that the first decoder performs decoding by using the reference image decoded in the second decoder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
