摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elucidate a new decomposition pathway of an azide, and to provide a new technique for safely and readily decomposing the azide. SOLUTION: The microorganism belonging to the genus Agrobacterium of the family Rhizobiaceae, and having azide-degrading activity is provided. The microorganism can decompose the azide having toxicity or explosiveness under a mild condition. As a result, the azide can be decomposed safely and readily by using this microorganism. The microorganism can produce an amine by decomposing the azide having the toxicity or the explosiveness under a mild condition. The microorganism is expected to largely contribute to the production of the useful amines because the amines include many useful materials, and almost all of them are harmless.
