PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "driving assistance system" capable of suitably assist a driver. SOLUTION: Cameras 101-1 to 102-4 photograph a periphery of one's own vehicle and produces image data. A danger vehicle determination part 108 detects a stopping vehicle present at a periphery of one's own vehicle based on the image data produced by the cameral 102-1 to 102-4. Subsequently, the danger vehicle determination part 108 leads out a danger degree of the stopping vehicle based on the image data and a danger degree table memorized in a memory 110 and specifies the stopping vehicle having the danger degree of a predetermined value or more as the danger vehicle. Further, the danger vehicle determination part 108 displays the image on a monitor 114 and outputs a sound/voice from a speaker 116 when the danger vehicle is present.
