PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic male snap part having engaging projections provided with appropriate and sufficient elastic deformation ability for enhanced connection strength. SOLUTION: The male snap part (1) having engaging projections (20) removably engaging with projection receiving sections (50) of a female snap part (3), wherein the engaging projections (20) are composed of relatively elastically deformable largely deformable sections (26a) and of less deformable sections (26b) less deformable than the largely deformable sections (26a), with the largely deformable and less deformable sections alternately arranged in the circumferential direction. Further, the front ends of the largely deformable sections (26a) are each provided with a high outwardly expanding section (24a) projecting radially outward from outwardly expanding sections (24b) of the less deformable sections (26b). Each largely deformable section (26a) is separated from the less deformable sections (26b) by two vertical slits (25) extending from the upper end of the engaging projection (20) and by a horizontal slit (27) for interconnecting the lower ends of the vertical slits.
