<p>A high-pressure pump (1) for feeding fuel to an internal-combustion engine has a pump body (2), pumping members (6), a mechanism (4) for actuating the pumping members (6), which has the function of converting rotational movement into a reciprocating movement and has a shaft (5) rotating about a first axis (A1), a cam (8) arranged on the shaft (5), and a polygonal ring (9) which is mounted rotatably around the cam (8) about a second axis (A2) parallel to the first axis (A1), has a number of flat faces (12) equal to the number of pumping members (6) and is housed inside a chamber (3) which is formed in the pump body (2) and delimited by further flat faces (23) uniformly distributed around the first axis (A1), parallel to the first axis (A1), and equal to the number of pumping members (6).</p> |
