The present invention relates to a conical fibre reinforced section (10; 20). The conical section (10; 20) hasa substantially circular cross section and a hollow core. The conical section (10; 20) comprises a firstlayer (11;21) with fibres extending in substantially axial direction of the section (10; 20),a secondlayer (12; 22) with fibres wound around the firstlayer (11; 21) in a tangential directionof the section (10; 20) and a resin cured to a matrix that encloses said fibres and fibre layers (11, 12; 21, 22). The present invention furthermore relates to the use of said section (10; 20) and a method for producing said section (10; 20).
