A railway maintenance vehicle for lifting and transporting sleepers and peta bone, the vehicle comprising powered lifting means for lifting and moving sleepers and peta bone including a grapple and electromagnet, at least one storage container, and removal means so as to facilitate the removal of the peta bone and sleepers from the storage container when full.
