<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair equipped with a locomotion function keeping and recovering support of lower limbs of a person requiring nursing care. <P>SOLUTION: The wheelchair is configured so that a user stands up in a standing posture in front of the seat of the wheelchair and is guarded by an upper frame in the upper part of the seat configured to support the standing posture by various kinds of motion and exercise using the seat and prevent toppling down to enable the user to safely exercise within the frame. The upper frame is configured to be supported by a support frame supported by right and left main frames of the seat. The user grasps the support or a part of the upper frame in the side front to stand up without straining him-/her-self and, on a floor face in front of the seat, using a part of the upper frame as a handrail, can perform walk training, life motion using lower limbs, rehabilitation of the whole body, muscle training, etc., without relying on a care-giver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
