<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a high-quality surround sound field. <P>SOLUTION: Respective channel signals of RL, FL, C, FR, and RR are divided into a high-frequency signal and a low-frequency signal by HPF and LPF, respectively. A high-frequency component of the signal of each channel generated by HPF is beam-controlled to a direction corresponding to an allocation of each channel, to generate the surround sound field by the high-frequency component. Meantime, a low-frequency component of the signal of each channel generated by LPF 31 is first collected to left signals (RL and FL), center signal (C) and right signals (FR and RR). In a signal separating circuit, an in-phase component and an out-of-phase component are separated in the left signal and the right signal. The in-phase component is controlled so as to be localized to the front of an array speaker device, and the out-of-phase component is controlled by directivity, to generate the surround sound field by the low-frequency component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
