<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap of a microtube for pharmaceutical development can line up the cap in an appropriate direction in a short time when the cap is lined up on a line-up plate by using a cap line-up apparatus for pharmaceutical development. <P>SOLUTION: The cap 100 of the microtube for pharmaceutical development includes an insertion part 120 inserted into an opening of the microtube for pharmaceutical development, and a gripping part 110 having a larger peripheral diameter than that of the insertion part 120 and protruding from the opening of the microtube for pharmaceutical development. The entire length of the cap 100 is longer than a pitch of the line-up plate and smaller than twice the pitch. The top edge of the gripping part 110 of the cap 100 includes a flange 130 having a larger peripheral diameter than the pitch of the line-up plate. The insertion part 120 of the cap 100 includes a taper 122 narrowed toward its chip. The center of gravity of the cap 100 is positioned on the insertion part 120 side.
