<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an electric contact of a cartridge by minimizing a contact trajectory between a cartridge electric contact and a body electric contact. <P>SOLUTION: When a process cartridge 100 is inserted into an image forming apparatus body 1, a first contact part 120 of the cartridge 100 is engaged with a first positioning part 221 of a movable member 220, whereby the movable member 220 and the cartridge 100 are positioned in the inserting direction and in a direction crossing the inserting direction. Regulation shafts 222 and 223 of the movable member 200 are pushed by the first contact part 120 and guided to regulation grooves 211 and 212 of the apparatus body 1, and the movable member 220 starts to rotate around the first regulation shaft 222 in a direction of getting close to the cartridge while sliding in the insert direction. A second positioning part 225 of the movable member 220 contacts with a second contact part 130 of the cartridge 100 to position the movable member 220 in the rotating direction, and a cartridge electric contact 112 and a body electric contact 250 are electrically connected to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
