<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an oxygen-containing organic compound by oxidizing an organic compound using molecular oxygen, where a catalyst, which gives the oxygen-containing organic compound in a high yield and can be easily recovered and reutilized, is used. <P>SOLUTION: The production method of the oxygen-containing organic compound includes oxidizing an organic compound using molecular oxygen in a liquid phase in the presence of a nitrogen atom-containing cyclic compound containing a skeleton represented by formula (1) [wherein X is an -OR group (wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a protecting group of a hydroxy group)] as a constituting element of the ring and a catalyst comprising a transition metal compound carried on a solid superacid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
