PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker in which a present state can be grasped surely by a single display member whether it is in an ON state, or an OFF state or a tripped state. SOLUTION: Inside a unit body, there are housed a contact point portion 6 composed of a fixed contact portion 7 and a movable contact point 8, an handle 10 supported rotatably against the unit body in a condition that a handling knob 10a is exposed out of the unit body, a link mechanism 9 for switching on and off the contact point 6 in accordance with a handle operation, a trip mechanism which drives the link mechanism 9 and opens an electrode forcibly when an abnormal current flowing in an electric passage is detected, and a display member 15 which has a display portion for displaying an ON state of the contact point portion 6, a display portion for displaying an OFF state and a display portion for displaying a tripping state and which is connected with the link mechanism 9. The link mechanism 9 moves either of the display portions of the ON display portion and the OFF display portion and the trip display portion to a position of a display window provided on a surface of the unit body in accordance with an ON movement, an OFF movement and a trip movement.
