PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize automatic lower end treatment which, when a printing head is close to the lower end of a printing medium in printing of an interlace system, is selected by judging whether a printing medium is printed in a usual interlace system or lower end treatment for carrying out printing with the amount of the printing medium to be conveyed reduced below a usual amount with a memory consumption reduced. SOLUTION: In relation to image data to be printed on the printing medium, the final printing position of the image data on the printing medium is searched from the terminal end of the printable domain of the printing medium.
