PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for tilting a scum skimmer back and forth for a sludge scraper in which scum in the vicinity of the scum skimmer floating on the upstream side and the downstream side of the scum skimmer is certainly and energy-savingly discharged by continuously tilting the scum skimmer back and forth energy-savingly in a simple device utilizing part of the driving power of the sludge scraper. SOLUTION: Motions of tilting forward the scum skimmer 5, returning it to a neutral position, and tilting it backward are continuously and successively repeated through the device B for tilting the scum skimmer 5 back and forth which is driven by utilizing part of the driving power of the sludge scraper A.
