The invention relates to a method for producing electrical contact (58) in a fuel injector (40) which is electrically contacted using an electrical connection component (54) and which is actuated by means of a solenoid valve that comprises a solenoid (26). The electrical connection component (54) is first produced separately from the assembly process of the fuel injector (40). Electrical contact (58) is then produced between the pre-fabricated electrical connection component (54) and electrical contact elements (32), (42) of the fuel injector (40).
