PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of displaying intelligibly sign information of a road sign acquired from imaged data. SOLUTION: This navigation system has an imaging means for imaging a traveling direction of one's own vehicle, an extraction means for extracting sign information based on imaged data, a storage means for storing road map information, a decision means for deciding destination information related to a destination of the own vehicle from the road map information, a determination means for determining whether the extracted sign information includes the destination information or not by comparing the extracted sign information with the destination information, a processing means for processing the imaged data so that the sign information matching the destination information is discriminated, and a display means for displaying the processed imaged data.
