PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which suppresses the relative rotation between the outer ring of a bearing and the bearing support of a housing and reduces vibration and noise thereby, without marring its assemblability. SOLUTION: The electric motor includes the housing 42 and a rotor 37 which is arranged within the housing 42 and is held rotatably by a bearing 46 supported by the bearing support 45 of the housing 42, and it is formed in angular shape where the contour part 51 of the outer ring 46c of the bearing 46 and an inner-form part 56, which holds the outer ring 46c of a bearing support 45, engage with each other. By such structure, even if there is space between the contour part of the outer ring and the inner-form part of the bearing support, it suppresses the relative rotation to the bearing support of the outer ring of the bearing, whereby it reduces vibration and noise.
