PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently accumulate read images of a plurality of pages in a memory in a printer which is lacking in memory resources. SOLUTION: Image data of a plurality of pages are converted according to a first scheme and a second scheme and while securing first memory regions and second memory regions smaller than the first memory regions, first converted data and second converted data are accumulated in the first memory regions that are secured in order from a largest address within a memory and the second memory regions secured in order from a smallest address, respectively. In a case where the second converted data exceed a second size, the second converted data are discarded and at least remaining one or more first memory regions are secured in the memory. In a case where the second converted data are smaller than the second size, the first converted data are discarded and at least remaining one or more second memory regions are secured in the memory. If either the first memory regions or the second memory regions can not be secured, on the basis of the accumulated first converted data or/and second converted data, printing is carried out by a printing section.
