PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict coming-off of a dummy plug. SOLUTION: This is the dummy plug 60 for a waterproof connector which is inserted in an empty cavity 38 in which a terminal fitting is not housed in the waterproof connector U, and prevents water from entering into the waterproof connector U through the empty cavity 38. A cave-like cavity portion 66 along the insertion direction of the dummy plug 60 to the cavity 38 is formed inside the dummy plug 60, and a partition membrane 64A which partitions in front and rear a front space 39A in insertion direction and the rear space 39B in the insertion direction and is elastically deformable is provided at a part of the cavity portion 66.
