PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress needless resonance by making gravity of a movable part of an objective lens drive device coincide with a drive center to which drive force operates for the movable part, with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The objective lens drive device includes a lens holder holding an objective lens and being movable in the focus direction and the tracking direction, a pair of magnets arranged so as to hold the lens holder between them in the direction being orthogonal to the focus direction and the tracking direction, and a pair of focus coils provided at each plane opposing to the pair of magnets of the lens holder and generating electromagnetic force in the focus direction by energizing. A resistance changeable means which can change a current value of a current flowing in the focus coil is connected to a wiring means connected electrically to at least one of the pair of focus coils.
