PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure enabling ends of two carrier tapes to be connected extremely easily. SOLUTION: Each of a terminal end of one carrier tape and a starting end of the other carrier tape for two electronic components to be connected to each other is peeled off and cut at its cover tape by a predetermined length only and at the same time, one or a plurality of exposed storing portions are made vacant, wherein a connecting member has a plurality of protrusions formed at the same pitch as that of each of the storing portions at its lower surface, and the protrusions are fitted to the vacant storing portions to mount the connecting member between the two carrier tapes. Then, a joint tape is in a longitudinal direction of lower surfaces of both carrier tapes. The connecting member is formed so that a carrier tape having some storing portions continuously formed at the same pitch by embossing work at a plastic tape is cut to a predetermined length.
