The crankcase (1) has a case body (2) with a set of cylinders (3) and a coolant channel for cooling the cylinders. The case body is fastened to another body by screws (5), where the case body has screwing openings into which the screws project. The case body has an inlet opening (8) that aligns to one of the screwing openings. Each screw is inserted into the respective screwing opening through the inlet opening. The inlet opening partially extends in the coolant channel. A displacement body (9) is arranged in the inlet opening for reduction of the coolant volume.
