The orthese (1) has shell parts (2, 3) for retaining body parts limiting at a joint in a misaligned position. The shell parts are connected with each other by an orthese joint (5) such that the shell parts are transferred from the joint misaligned position to a desired joint position. The orthese joint enables a movement of the shell parts relative to each other in the desired joint position. The shell parts are connected with a controllable moving device (7) that moves the shell parts relative to each other. A motor (11) is connected with one of the shell parts by a movable bar (12).
