<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in heat resistance, leakage resistance, and cycle characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator arranged between both electrodes, a non-aqueous electrolyte, and an armoring member of laminate material which houses them. A polymer support is provided between the separator and at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The separator has polyethylene as main component and contains polypropylene by ≤10 mass%. The polymer support is tightly fitted or bonded to the separator and at least one of the positive electrode and negative electrode. The polymer support contains such polymer as contains vinylidene fluoride as a component. The thickness of the separator is 5 to 20 μm.
