PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic device capable of correctly preventing peeling between an amorphous carbon layer and a transparent electrode while suppressing a coupling ratio of SP3/SP2 of the amorphous carbon layer to be low for the effective use of light. SOLUTION: The photovoltaic device M1 comprises the transparent electrode 2 and a semiconductor layer 4. The semiconductor layer 4 comprises a p-type semiconductor layer 41, an i-type semiconductor layer 42, and an n-type semiconductor layer 43. Furthermore, between the transparent electrode 2 and the p-type semiconductor layer 41, an amorphous carbon layer 3 of a high coupling ratio is formed. The SP3/SP2 coupling ratio at the amorphous carbon layer 3 of the high coupling ratio is higher than the SP3/SP2 coupling ratio of the p-type semiconductor layer 41. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
