<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system which transfers broadcast data only to a node belonging to a certain closed group, among nodes in the same network. <P>SOLUTION: In the data processing system for processing broadcast data, broadcast data outputted from one node is acquired, and an source address is acquired from the broadcast data thus acquired. A destination address is acquired from group management information specifying a relationship between a group and the address of a node belonging to the group, for transferring the broadcast data only to a node other than the node corresponding to the source address which belongs to the group corresponding to the acquired source address.
